According to data from market research firm Synergy Research Group, in Q1 2023, Amazon’s AWS maintained its position as the world’s largest public cloud service provider, with a market share exceeding 33%. Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud followed, but both still had market shares below 20%, underscoring AWS’s continued dominance in the public cloud market.

At its Build developer conference in May 2023, Microsoft announced a new generation of Azure AI services, including upgrades to Azure Cognitive Services and Azure Machine Learning.
